Emily Carr's Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media is holding a Design Forum Emerging Spaces in Design. The forum features the work of some of our best fourth year Communication, Interaction and Industrial Design students.

This is a great opportunity to see what Design at Emily Carr is all about and meet a few of our faculty and students. The projects encompass a wide range of outcomes, including tablet based apps, medical assistive devices, and new ideas on storytelling, all sharing an enthusiasm for research-based design applied to socially relevant problems.

Arron Jackson, Kid Krafting, Too – Safe? A series of playground equipment pieces designed to promote develop personality in children

Nicole Jang, The Head Vs. Heart, Objects for the Depressed Lifestyle

Mimi Law, FEATHERS, Functional Engagement in Assisted Therapy through Exercise Robotics

Alanna MacRitchie, The Imaginarrative Project, Locational storytelling that exercises the imagination and body at the same time

Kieran Wallace  and Andreas Eiken, Sustainer, A container and app that encourage sustainable meals to-go

Daisy Aylott, Craig Fleisch, and Lan Yan, Lift Safe, Working with VCH to develop a behaviour change campaign regarding safe patient handling.

Sabrina Ng, Kay Wong, and Jieun Lee, Autism App for Popard, An application for autistic students to learn about social boundaries and online safety
