Hebert-Huot, Mickovic and Paris | Systems and Structures

Systems and Structures includes work from Magali Hébert-Huot ('12), Ivan Mickovic (’12), Janice Cheung, and third year student Marc Paris.

This exhibition brings together these four artists who manipulate and question systems and structures, using their own material and conceptual practices. In their choice of found objects and other materials, these artists arrive at visually accessible outcomes through their respective processes. The ideas explored in this exhibition call up religious, monetary and social themes that overlap both visually and conceptually. Why have these artists chosen to manipulate these objects and how does this work to manipulate the ideological systems and structures that the original objects represent?

An opening reception will take place on Wednesday, July 25 from 6 to 9pm at Quinary Art Projects, 1387 Richards Street in Vancouver. The exhibit runs from July 26 to 28, 2012, daily from noon to 5pm.
