National Portfolio Day 2012
National Portfolio Day is an event specifically for prospective undergraduate visual art, media art and design students.
Representatives from accredited institutions offering art and design programs will be available to review your artwork, discuss their programs and answer questions about professional careers in art and design. National Portfolio Days are also about the exchange of information about your work, yourself, your college plans, and your concerns. Representatives are pleased to talk about their programs with you and can be most helpful when discussing your artwork. You should discuss your work with as many representatives as possible as you will hear many different opinions of your work. Don't hesitate to explain how you develop your ideas and where you want to go with them.
Your portfolio should include your best and most recent work. If you want to show media (film, video or animation), please bring your own laptop with a fully charged battery as representatives will not have access to electronic equipment.
Other art and design schools that will be reviewing portfolios at our event include: Academy of Art University, Alberta College of Art + Design, Art Center College of Design, CalArts, California College of the Arts, College for Creative Studies, Columbus College of Art & Design, Concordia University Faculty of Fine Arts , Cornish College of the Arts , FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising , Kwantlen Polytechnic University, MICA Maryland Institute College of Art, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Moore College of Art & Design, NSCAD University, OCAD University, Otis College of Art and Design, PNCA Pacific Northwest College of Art, Parsons The New School for Design, École Parsons à Paris, Pratt Institute, Pratt MWP, Rhode Island School of Design, San Francisco Art Institute, School of Visual Arts, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Oregon College of Art and Craft.
