Christian Kliegel + Cate Rimmer | Walk In/Here You are

As part of the City of Vancouver’s Olympic and Paralympic Public Art Program, Walk In/Here You Are, features an outdoor exhibition of still, moving and performance work by local artists.

Christian Kliegel’s (04) architectural-inspired structure on the north plaza of the Vancouver Central Library will serve as an open-air theatre for WalkIn/Here You Are. The venue will allow visitors to engage with a curated program of projected videos and live performance, inviting the public to interact with the installation's physical components and to use it as an outdoor social space while viewing works by both established and emerging Vancouver artists.

The exhibit includes the works of 2009 Honorary Doctorate recipient, Stan Douglas, current MAA candidate, Håvard Pedersen, as well as Gerl Erich (05), Curtis Grahauer (04), Christy Nyiri (05), Laura Piasta (06), Kevin Romaniuk (04), Pietro Sammarco (05) and Jeremy Shaw (99).

Walk In/Here You Are will feature six different exhibition programs over the year and is curated by Cate Rimmer (86), curator for the Charles H. Scott Gallery at Emily Carr.
