Students + Alumni Featured in The Cheaper Show No. 9
Vancouver’s unparalleled art show returns for its 9th year and features the work of a record 42 Emily Carr alumni and students.
The Cheaper Show concept: 200 multi-disciplinary artists present 400 pieces of art, priced at $200 each for one night only. Exhibiting artists consciously makes a sacrifice by selling their work for less than its potential value, creating united support for the event, the arts community, and an opportunity for the show to take place in an environment that is accessible to everyone. In turn, many walk away with sales, exposure, commissions and gallery representation, as well as having an opportunity to connect with peers on an even playing field.
