A recent government initiative allows eligible international students attending participating public post-secondary institutions (including Emily Carr), to work off-campus while they complete their studies. The Off-Campus Work Permit Program enables international students to gain valuable work experience in a Canadian setting.

To be eligible for an off-campus work permit, you will have to have a valid study permit, be in satisfactory academic standing and have been a full-time student for at least six of the twelve months preceding your application for a work permit.
