Brenda Laurel is an independent scholar and consultant, teacher and performer. A pioneer in development of virtual reality and an advocate for diversity and inclusiveness in video games, her recent work has focused on the use of distributed sensing and augmenteted reality in STE(A)M learning. Laurel’s consulting group, Neogaian Interactive, provides design research, strategy, and development with a humanistic focus.
