Stop by Nanaimo Art Gallery and visit Fulhame's Map, a six-artist exhibit exploring multiple avenues of photography. Named for the 18th century scientist Elizabeth Fulhame, this exhibit nods to the history of photography by including the works of Victorian era photographer Hannah Maynard. The contrast between modern and past photography allows us to view the scope of the language of images. Fulhame's Map is interested in the memorializing of moments and technologies and materials we use to capture them.

Alumnae Fabiola Carranza (2006), Jessica Eaton (2006), and Nicole Kelly Westman (2012), join artists Sara Cwynar, Allison Hrabluik, and the aforementioned Hannah Maynard in tackling concepts of light, images, memory, and time. By displaying works that traverse centuries, audiences are able to be struck by timeline of an art form, what is different, and what remains the same.
