  • As of this weekend the Library will be closed on Sundays until the Fall semester starts in September. We'll also be closed for statutory holidays.

  • Please join us for three candidate presentations for our recently advertised full-time position of University Librarian. Each candidate was asked to draw on their experience and provide insight into their vision for the library of the 21st century in an art and design school.

    Presentations will be 45 minutes long followed by a 15 minute question period. Those attending all three presentations are asked to email their comments to astobart@ecuad.ca in Human Resources by Wednesday, April 21st.

    This year’s Speaker Series caps off with a presentation by Calgary-based animator and filmmaker, Cam Christiansen. Cam's presentation entitled, Adventures in Indie Digital Film Making, will trace the evolution and making of anlanda digital studio. He will look at past work and show the behind the scenes of his latest projects in development and share the challenges and technological benefits of being an director/animator in 2010.

    The Emily Carr Speaker Series, in conjunction with VIVO Media Arts and Fillip, proudly present Ryan Trecartin, named winner of the Jack Wolgin International Competition in the Fine Arts, and New Artist of the Year by the Guggenheim Museum’s First Annual Art Awards. Trecartin will screen his forty-minute video P.opular S.ky (section ish) (2009) followed by a discussion with Amy Kazymerchyk and the audience.
