Jaleen Grove was one of 48 international contributors to History of Illustration.

Congratulations to alumna Jaleen Grove (1999) for helping to co-create History of Illustration, the first textbook in its field. Born of a desire to enhance the study and scholarship of illustration, a team of international illustration historians, practitioners, and educators came together and spent the past six years putting together the inaugural textbook on the topic. History of Illustration "covers image-making and print history from around the world, spanning from the prehistoric to the contemporary. The book contextualizes the many types of illustrations within social, cultural, and technical parameters."

Jaleen acted as editor for this textbook, but also wrote several sections. The textbook launched on February 22, 2018. History of Illustration aims to change the discourse around illustration, and allow us to learn about the art form in greater depth.
