Buchan will present his new business, a farm-to-table meal kit delivery service, to the Dragons March 8.

Next week, Emily Carr University alumnus Thomas Buchan (2005) will be appearing on the CBC hit show Dragons' Den. Now in its twelfth season, Dragons' Den is a reality show wherein entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to a panel of business experts, known as the Dragons, who will vote on whether or not they will fund the pitches. Thomas Buchan will be presenting his new business fuud.ca, a farm-to-table meal kit delivery service, to the Dragons on Thursday March 8.

Thomas Buchan has kept busy working in film a since he graduated from Emily Carr University in 2005. During his time working long hours in the notoriously hectic industry, Buchan realized what a useful service meal kit delivery could be in terms of both saving and creating time. He first observed the meal kit business model on a trip to New Zealand, and decided upon his return to combine his passion for food and storytelling. As an award winning filmmaker, Buchan is the right man for the job. Along with his team which included fellow alumnus Hyuma Frankowski (2005), Buchan brought fuud.ca to fruition.

"Ultimately our goal is to tell the best story of food possible and luckily we are surrounded by amazing stories in the lower mainland," says Buchan.

Catch Buchan on Dragons' Den March 8 and see how his fares fare against the Dragons.
