ECU celebrates local design talent with Vancouver’s official interdisciplinary design festival.

It’s happening all around Vancouver! Vancouver Design Week is a city-wide invitation to celebrate design in all aspects of life. It all begins this Monday with a full calendar of events that will demonstrate just how deeply design affects our world, from the images we see, to the clothes we wear, to the objects we use everyday.

This year's VDW will focus on the impact that design has on our lives and how it can be a powerful tool to make the world a better place.

Watch for events all around the city from May 7–13, 2018: show up, join in and stand out! Visit VDW’s event calendar for a full schedule.

ECU is excited to support this year’s Vancouver Design Week and host two special public events. Join us on campus on Friday, May 11 for Making the Invisible Visible in Canadian Design, a special panel event that will explore the largely anonymous design that has shaped Canadian architecture, systems and products.

Come back to campus on Sunday, May 13 for an exclusive tour of the first purpose-built institution of art and design in Canada, led by lead architect Ana Maria Llanos.
