Al Hunter

Al Hunter is a citizen of the Anishinaabe Nation within Treaty 3 territory. He is a proud member of the Caribou clan whose roles and responsibilities include reconciliation, peacemaking, and the preservation of artistic, creative traditions of the Anishinaabeg. Al Hunter earned a BA from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN in 1997. His work has been translated into Spanish. Al was an invited writer to the XVI Poetry Festival of Medellin, Colombia in 2006. He is a spoken word performer and the author of two books of poetry, Spirit Horses and The Recklessness of Love, both published by Kegedonce Press.
