Dirk Staschke has maintained an ongoing studio practice and extensive exhibition record for the last twelve years. During this time he has taught at many notable universities, including Emily Carr, Alfred University and New York University. His work has been shown internationally and is represented by The Wexler Gallery in Philadelphia. His work resides in the permanent collections of several museums including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Houston, TX, Icheon Museum, World Ceramic Center, Gwango-dong, South Korea. His current body of work explores notions of gluttony and cultural excess.
