David's interests include (but are not limited to) Graphics & Illustration, 2D/3D Design (both digital and tangible), Programming, and Computational Art.
After studying Molecular Biology and Cancer research (published, 2nd author), his interests diverted to Information Visualization. He pursued graduate studies in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University where he enjoyed the challenging mixed focus of Art, Design, and Computer Science. He has been published through some of his research interests including: AI in Robocup simulated soccer (2nd author), Motion Tracking in video (1st author), and Information Visualization (M.Sc. thesis topic).
David enjoys challenging students to think about concepts and develop skills with a critical and pragmatic eye. As a teacher in Critical and Cultural Studies, he enjoys teaching Perception & Science, Digital Imaging, and Computer Science.
