Sharon Kahanoff is a filmmaker, artist, writer and educator interested generally in ideas of time as expressed through the moving image. Engaging the theatricality of social spaces, her most recent film challenges the role of expectation in cinematic viewing experiences. Sharon's artwork has been exhibited in galleries and cinemas locally and in the US, and her writing has been published in exhibition catalogues and art journals. She teaches academic and studio classes at Emily Carr University and Simon Fraser University, she sits on the board at Artspeak gallery, and on the program advisory committee at Cineworks.
