Rob Inkster
Bio
Dr. Rob Inkster was appointed Director of Research and Industry Liaison in January 2008. He received his BSc. in Physics from the University of Victoria, and his MSc and PhD's from McGill University in the area of Cloud Physics. Dr. Inkster is a serial entrepreneur, who has founded or acted in senior management positions in three Canadian advanced technology companies, both private and public. His companies have operated in diverse business areas, including remote sensing, marine acoustics, and fibre optics.
Dr. Inkster’s involvement with Emily Carr started in 2002 when he was appointed to the Board of Governors, and subsequently elected as Chair. He resigned from the Board to take his current position, where his duties involve developing new research programs and funding, the coop and intern programs at ECU, and several international programs.
