Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is home for Professor Emeritus Sam Carter who enjoys working around the world.
“My exhibition design projects, and now the incredible capabilities of online projects, allow me to access all the things I love about museums and international travel," says Sam. "Technology has allowed me to work continually from Vancouver on projects around the world. The most recent being the Africa Child Policy Forum (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia), the Asia Pacific Applied Arts Forum and facilitating internships for Emily Carr students in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Brazil, Japan, Korea and other parts of the world."
Over past decades I have collected design--products that reflect the diverse and inclusive design cultures of BC, Canada and Asia/Pacific, ranging from vernacular to sophisticated. I am pleased to offer online cources for ECUAD including BC Design History/Theory, Canadian Design History/Theory and Asia-Pacific Design History/Theory.
