Arni Haraldsson has exhibited his photographic work nationally and internationally, he has also written extensively about art. Recent exhibitions include 'C.1983' at Presentation House Gallery and 'The Biography of Images' at the Audain Gallery in Vancouver and an upcoming residency at Skriduklaustur in Iceland. Much of his work has concerned the lost aspirations of the utopian principles of Modernism, in terms of the design and social life of the city. As well, he has concentrated on various urban spaces and peripheral suburban landscapes in transition. His work poses architecture and landscape as emblematic of larger social forces, and as a symbolic system instrumental in the formation of human relations.
