Barb Hinton Wood is a practicing artist, teacher, and community cultural programmer based out of Vancouver, BC. She has exhibited paintings,
assemblages and installations in Southern California (in conjunction with curator Carl Berg), Florida, Colorado, Saskatchewan and Vancouver. She has worked on projects for Bryan Jungen and Rodney Graham, and studied with Joe Santore of the NY Visual School, Susan Shatter, Bob Boyer, George Littlechild and Master printers Sue Hover Ohme, Patricia Branstead and painter Lisa Birke. Barb has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of West Florida and a Masters in Community Development from Delta State University in Mississippi. She has instructed art in Brazil, Africa, California, Colorado, Florida and Vancouver and has been involved in the arts and community based work for over 20 years.
