Mine is a social practice in its making and its experience. I think it’s important to keep a big-world perspective, while working on issues that have local resonance. I try to work with a sense of humour and a light hand, re-framing, re-locating, re-organizing, re-purposing what is already there so that it can be understood differently. For example:
- -working with existing or assembled collections: Atrium (Halifax), About Face (New York)
- -commemorating little-remembered events: We Are Sorry (Melbourne and Winnipeg), Your Choice (Beijing), Harriet Nahanee (Vancouver)
- -transforming un- or underused spaces: 24/7 (Aberdeen), Move In Now (Halifax)
