Vancouver based Illustrator and Graphic Designer.
Bachelor in Fine Arts, Concentration in Illustration 2013.
My illustrative practice explores various nostalgic platforms of rebellion throughout the 40’s and 50’s era, inspired by subcultures in which seek a new world order. My work speaks to hillbilly blues meets rock n’ roll, the western frontier, pulp media, or west-coast lowbrow movements. Research delves into popular culture icons and mass media, in line with illustrative vintage pulp magazines, paperbacks, adventure magazines, comic books, trading cards, flash tattoo art, and poster art.
Western imagery has always been a part of my life, and a memorable part of how I was raised. Growing up in the prairies exposed myself to a simpler way of living, where the country took over as a way of peaceful expression, full of rugged history.
