Robin Thompson
Bio
Robin Thompson completed his art education at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto before locating to B.C.
He has formed his own publishing identity and worked on independant graphic novel titles such as Champions of Hell, Zombie Jesus, and Captain Space Man.
He has been with Emily Carr University since 2008. Here he teaches various courses in illustration, including both introductory and advanced programs. He has also curated his own artist convention at the school entitled E mily Con. Lending his extensive knowledge of the graphic novel medium, Robin has been a guest speaker for the Vancouver Art Gallery's renowned “Krazy!” and “CO-MIX: A Retrospectiove of Comics” exhibits.
This has inspired him to begin his own drawing programs for young artists. His workshops have reached community centers and elementary schools throughout greater Vancouver, including the annual Children's Arts Festival in Richmond.
