    How can an object encourage active music listening?

    The driving force for this project has been using an object to facilitate music listening. In the mid-century modern era music was a staple in many homes. This interaction with music was partially due to music players as furniture pieces, creating a focal point in the home. Acoudron attempts to bring back music players as pieces of furniture ­– an embraced object.

    In collaboration with Carlos Angel & Carolina Bertillisen, this table & room-divider was the outcome of a course competition to design a table surface for 2043. The table was constructed with the intent to create a piece of furniture that is not only transformable, but transformed the entire living space, which brought about the name OmdanneBo (Danish for Transform Living).     In collaboration with Bjorn Krogvig, BS-1 was designed for mulled wine and sangria - beverages that are so much more than a liquid. People gather together, share drunks, and exchange conversation. The BS-1 can store hot or cold liquids and maintain their temperature. A soapstone base regulates the temperature while the cork surrounding the enamel pot insulates the liquid. The BS-1 allows the communal drinking experience to be a prolonged interaction.
