Donald Brackett is a culture critic who specializes in the history, theory, issues and practice of art, design, architecture and film. The author of two books, "Fleetwood Mac" and "Dark Mirror", on the dynamics of creative collaboration and partnership, he is a frequent guest lecturer, curator and film programmer, most recently organizing a survey of films called Strange Magic, which explored the award winning movies written and produced by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder during the golden age of Hollywood, for Pacific Cinematheque in Vancouver. He is currently working on a new book, A Dynasty of Dissonance: The Transformation of Beauty in the 20th Century, chronicling the history of modernism in all its myriad forms.
