Since 1999, Girard has been practicing design.
Recently starting MA candidature, he was accepted to Royal College of Art London, but deferred the golden offer, instead entertaining a chance to work on a thesis during the summer out of Bodleian library, as well as at University of Oxford’s Wolfson College in Oxford, England. An award-winning Emerging Scholar, Girard recently travelled to Barcelona for an award where he was among successful graduate students and early career faculty, and felt at home.
Girard has taught university level design in 3 countries, and last year held his first Professorship.
His recent TEDx talk called “How to feel at home in the airport” has been translated into 9 languages.
