Michael Peterson
Bio
Michael Peterson is in his second year as an MDes candidate at Emily Carr. His thesis is researching local food systems, particularly the reasons people buy local, the challenges local producers face, and the opportunities for design to intervene in and support these relationships.
Michael received a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Saskatchewan. He is the owner of void gallery in Saskatoon, a commercial gallery that focusses on supporting local, emerging artists. Through void, Michael continues to explore ways a gallery can act as a service for both artists and art consumers, including the possibilities for a gallery to act as a social and educational hub.
