    Still in the works, this project entitled "a lovely chair" is a two-semester long industrial design graduation project. The concept behind "a lovely chair" is simple, and so is it's function - it is a seat. As the name would suggest, everything about this chair is meant to be "lovely", from form, to function to experience, which means that every detail is carefully considered, from the types of wood joinery to materials chosen for the seat.

    This project was a collaboration between 3rd Industrial Design students at Emily Carr, and CAWP (Center for Advanced Wood Production) students at UBC. Commissioned by Farcoast, the six teams of students who were involved were asked to create a chair, a community table and side table to fit the style and embody the essence of the Farcoast brand.     This project was an exercise in large scale model making for 3D Design Concentration with Greg Corrigan (White Box Design). The requirements were that the medical imaging technology must fit inside the structure and it must be able to adjust and scan several different parts of the human body. The structure is meant to appear friendly and mask the technology with a gentle form.
