Nicholas Frenette

I am in my fourth and last year at this school.  Taking classes here has been a pleasure thus far.  Drawing and painting are my main disciplines.  I have dabbled in sculpture as well.  

For the curious nougat,  the themes behind my work are about the unspoken wants and needs of myself and humanity in general.  There are many desires and actions that we would like to see or indulge in.  Basic needs are often sacrificed for the sake of fulfilling public image.  Through the fantasy of dealing with all this we fail to recognize that some ways exist to at least open up the weird and taboo for interpretation on a public level.

In a seemingly conservative way of rendering reality,  I hope to make work that confronts my viewers in non-conventional ways.
