Salar Shahnavaz

  Growing up as the son of a film director father and a jewelry designer mother, Salar’s creativity was encouraged from a young age. Buildings, cars and everyday objects motivated him to create new designs and redesign what was in front of him. At age 18, Salar received his diploma with a concentration in mathematics, which peaked his interest in industrial and interaction design over other fields. In September 2006, together with his family, Salar moved to Vancouver. He immediately enrolled in various art and academic courses at Capilano University as well as preparing a portfolio in order to enter Emily Carr University of Art and Design. He has always had an interest in Interaction and Industrial Design, and have found Emily Carr University to be the school that best fits his needs and help him reach his professional goals in the future.
