Bio
During my high school career at Collingwood School my interests in the arts became fine tuned to visual arts through assisting the art department with the school’s annual student art exhibitions. I also had the opportunity to work as a teacher’s aid during my graduating year.
The primary interests of my studies at Emily Carr University are Sculpture, First Nations Studies, and Contemporary Art History. During my time at Emily Carr I have gained skills and experience with metal fabrication, mold making, wood fabrication, and ceramics through classes, assignments and my studio practice.
In 2009 I had the opportunity to work as a curator, alongside Jeneen Frei Njootli, for Emily Carr University’s Annual Aboriginal Exhibition titled “Internal | External.” I was also selected to be on the Jury for the Harmony Arts Festival 2010 Craft Market, and am currently working as a Gallery Assistant at Malaspina Printmakers.
