Nicole Brabant

Nicole Brabant is a Saskatchewan-born, Vancouver-based Cree Métis artist and educator. Since completing an MFA at UBC, she has worked as a Curatorial Assistant at the Mackenzie Art Gallery where she completed research for a major retrospective exhibition of the work of Métis artist, Bob Boyer. She has also worked as a post-secondary Art, Art History, Cultural Studies and English instructor at universities in Regina and Vancouver. More recently, she has been facilitating youth-led digital media art projects through programming at the UBC Museum of Anthropology, and Leave Out Violence BC. Within her art practice, she uses a wide range of traditional and contemporary techniques in Printmedia and Drawing, and also maintains an ongoing body of work in Media Arts.
