Herb Lubalin Commemorative Stamps

description

Lubalin Reimagined was a commemorative stamp project inspired by an influencial type designer. Herb Lubalin was the father of conceptual typography whose style embodies American graphic design of the late 1950's to the late 1970's. I wanted to pay homage to his bold era of graphic type design.

I created a pane of 16 stamps, a souvenir sheet, a first day of issue postmark, and a corresponding first day cover.
