ANIM 306: Creative Devp't Anim Prod.

Students will research animation projects, either individually or collaboratively in teams, with the objective of developing pre-production artwork towards either student-based or client-originated productions. The specific nature of each course offering will be planned thematically by the instructor on a case-by-case basis. Taking concepts through many stages of pre-production, students will develop and pitch ideas, critique storyboards and animatics, visualize concepts, and examine animation production methods and techniques, according to a variety of industry-based scenarios. As a result of such investigations, individuals and/or groups will workshop and submit a proposal s for major projects, including a statement of intent, budget, production schedule, and animation prototypes with sound. The course consists of lectures, screenings, workshops, and student presentations.

Priority is given to ANIM students. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
