FVIM 214: Sound Essentials

Introduction to the technical and aesthetic aspects of sound recording and mixing as it applies to a variety of mediums. Artistic possibilities of sound including soundscape studies, acoustic communication, psychoacoustics and composition are explored through classroom demonstrations, exercises and discussion. Students are required to complete a series of location recording exercises, participate in classroom projects and present a final sound project.

Priority is given to ANIM and IMED students. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
