FVIM 325: Cinematography

This course is designed for students working with the moving image - film, video, installation and performance. It will also interest Photography and Animation students. Students will learn how to manipulate light and composition to communicate the mood, tone and effect they wish to achieve. Lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises with a variety of lighting equipment and video and film cameras will develop student's skills. Students will be introduced to sync sound 16mm cameras and learn more about higher end digital video cameras. The fundamentals of blocking and continuity will be explored.

Priority is given to IMED students in Years 3 and 4. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
