ILUS 200: Illustration: Essentials

Students are introduced to a variety of illustrative practices as they explore pictorial strategies in relation to larger cultural ideas. This entry-level course features a balance of the development of technical skills with investigations of thematic content. Wet, dry and digital media are explored in sequence. Particular focus is placed on an iterative process of learning, where students are able to return to the same challenge after the benefit of a class critique of their first attempt.

Priority is given to CRCP and VIAR students in Year 2. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
