VAST 202: Project Research

JULY 2012 - THIS COURSE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO VAST 302 Project Research.

This course introduces methods, strategies and processes that will enable students to pursue extended investigations of concepts and materials. Notions of play, experimentation and customization will be emphasized as students follow a central concept or area of inquiry through a number of incarnations. Visual, academic and material explorations will fuel a series of short projects, which will be considered through group critiques, in-class workshops, and individual tutorial meetings. Students will be encouraged to work in a variety and combination of disciplines, and to bring a wide range of interests (both art-related and otherwise) to the class.
