VAST 302: Project Research

This course introduces methods, strategies and processes that will enable students to pursue extended investigations of concepts and materials. Notions of experimentation and thoughtful exploration will be emphasized as students follow a central concept or area of inquiry through a number of incarnations. Visual, academic and material explorations will support a series of short projects, which will be considered through group critiques, discussion forums, and individual tutorials. Students will be encouraged to work in a variety and combination of disciplines, and to bring a wide range of interests (both art-related and otherwise) to the class. Research ethics will also be introduced to guide creative practices engaged in participant research.

Priority is given to CRCP and VIAR students in Years 3 and 4. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
