Overview

An array of audio visual equipment is available for loan to Emily Carr students, faculty and staff from the Audio Visual Department. Examples of equipment that can be borrowed are audio recorders, audio accessories photography equipment, video cameras, lighting equipment and  presentation equipment.

For a list of equipment available for loan, access the AV Equipment List. Some equipment is reserved for production classes, and therefore, is unavailable for loan.

Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis. Equipment on loan is the responsibility of the Borrower and all equipment borrowed must be returned in good working order. A request for booking is recommended as much of the equipment available is in high demand. Request for Booking forms are available at the AV counter or can be filled out on line.

First-time Borrowers are required to sign the AV Department’s PolicyAgreement. Print copies of the Policy are available at the AV counter. To locate the AV Department and for additonal information contact AV. For our hours of operation, view hours.

Presentation Equipment:

During the year, faculty may require presentation equipment for classrooms, seminar rooms and theater spaces, for a list of available presentation equipment, access the Seminar Equipment Inventory.pdf. 

Workshops:

Equipment training workshops are available at the beginning of each semester to help faculty gain experience with the operating functions of the classrooms’ advanced presentation systems. For workshop information and a time schedule, contact AV.
