For everyone
- Interlibrary loan - borrowing books and photocopies of journal articles from other libraries in BC
- Reciprocal borrowing - you have some borrowing privileges at other BC post-secondary libraries
For faculty
- Reserves - instructors can place articles, books, or other media on reserve in the library for a specific course.
- Media bookings - DVDs, videos and films from the Library's collection, as well as from other BC post-secondary libraries can be booked for a specific day for the purposes of classroom screenings, classroom presentations, and to preview for research purposes.
For NIC/UNBC students
- NIC/UNBC requests - ECU @ NIC and ECU @ UNBC students can request items from the Emily Carr Library
