In April 2013, Emily Carr's Living Labs research centre partnered with Microsoft to host a 3-day workshop with the intent to get the Surface into the hands of designers and see what possibilities would emerge.
Emily Carr students, studying interaction design, industrial design, communication design and interactive and social media arts, worked with key stakeholders from Microsoft to play, explore, and ask questions around the interface of this new tool.
