Entrance Scholarships

As an incoming student, you may be eligible for an entrance scholarship at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Our scholarship programs are designed to attract the best-qualified prospects and to recognize applicants with high academic achievement and artistic potential. A limited number of entrance scholarships are offered for local and international students beginning their studies at Emily Carr. Several entrance scholarships are available for BC high school students planning to attend Emily Carr after graduation. These scholarships will cover a significant portion of tuition in their first year. Several International Entrance Scholarships are available for international students. These scholarships will cover a significant portion of tuition in their first year.

Entrance Scholarships + Awards Administered by Emily Carr University

Emily Carr University Entrance Scholarships for BC High School and International Students
  • Several entrance scholarships, each in the amount of full tuition for study in the Foundation year awarded to BC high school students planning on attending Emily Carr directly after graduation.
  • Several International entrance scholarships, ranging from $2000 to $5000 Canadian dollars for study at any level.

You need not apply for an entrance scholarship, but you will be immediately qualified to receive one when you apply to Emily Carr. Selection will be made on a combination of your academic and artistic merit.

Audain Foundation Annual Entrance Scholarships for BC-based Students

The Audain Foundation Annual Entrance Scholarships, are tuition scholarships awarded to BC students from outside the Greater Vancouver Regional District. These awards are open to BC students beginning studies in first, second, or third year.

You need not apply for an entrance scholarship, but you will be immediately qualified to receive one when you apply to Emily Carr. Selection will be made on a combination of your academic and artistic merit.

CIBC Award for Excellence Scholarship

CIBC awards two $2500 Entrance Scholarships.

You need not apply for an entrance scholarship, but you will be immediately qualified to receive one when you apply to Emily Carr. Selection will be made on a combination of your academic and artistic merit.

Renée Van Halm + Pietro Widmer Entrance Scholarship

One $1000 Entrance Scholarship to a student entering the undergraduate Foundation program.

You need not apply for an entrance scholarship, but you will be immediately qualified to receive one when you apply to Emily Carr. Selection will be made on a combination of your academic and artistic merit.

Maple Batalia Memorial Scholarship for the Arts

The 'Fund' will provide one $1000 entrance scholarship to a South Asian-Canadian female student in memory of Maple Batalia a gifted visual artist, actor, model, and aspiring doctor.

Lloyd Williams Award

The Lloyd Williams Award provides an entrance scholarship for the top student(s) originating from the Chilcotin region.

Francisco de la Cajiga Entrance Scholarship

The Francisco de la Cajiga Entrance Scholarship provides an entrance scholarship to the top student of Mexican citizenship entering Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Once you are admitted, there are many scholarships available to undergraduate students of Emily Carr University's degree programs.
