Funding Priorities
Student Financial Awards
At Emily Carr University of Art + Design, we strive to ensure that all gifted students, regardless of their financial means, can pursue their art education. An ongoing funding priority at Emily Carr is to generate donor funded student awards to help students achieve their educational goals and realize their artistic dreams.
We encourage and appreciate all donations to establish named scholarships, bursaries and awards for undergraduates and fellowship awards for students in the Master Degree Program. We are especially appreciative of endowed gifts as they assist our current students while contributing to the perpetual health of the University's student awards program.
Please see Ways to Support Emily Carr for a description of the types of donor funded student awards that may be established to financially assist students at Emily Carr University.
Area of Greatest Need
You may prefer to make a gift to area of greatest need (undesignated funds) which offers us the greatest flexibility to ensure that donations received are allocated where the need is greatest. These gifts are most desirable as they meet the changing needs of the university.
Projects and Collaborations
Emily Carr students participate in collaborations and other projects with community partners as part of class projects or through directed studies. Through collaborations students hone their artistic and professional practices by having real life experiences and responsibilities.
