Cola Sours Candy Packaging

description

Candy packaging project for a Publication Design class. The aim of this project was to create candy packaging for a more adult audience. For the design, I wanted to use nostalgic elements from older candy packaging and picked typefaces and a colour scheme that I felt conveyed that. I wanted it to be a combination of retro elements that would catch the attention of those interested in that aesthetic but still modern enough that it wouldn't look too dated.

Whoot Teas

description

A Packaging design for a fictional Tea brewery called Whoot Teas.

The goal was to create a packaging design and product with a personality that was clear in it's branding.

Once the teas are consumed the packaging has a second life as a collectible item on a shelf. Each design is inspired by the flavours and ingredients found in the tea leaves and each package features a character name and backstory as well.

Intro/Extro

description

For our core studio class we developed a packaged set of books. The two books we cut to  "fit" together within the folder package.

The books depicted works of graphic design over the decades, and used the framing of introverted and extroverted work as reference to the socioeconomic status at the time of creation.

Their seemed to be a link between civil unrest and times of change with more "extroverted" types of design. While safer, and more conservative "introverted" designs were created in times of content.
