3 Dogs Expressive Typography
description
3 Dogs fairy tale by Andrew Lang was my Advance Typography class project. Our challange was to express the meaning and the feeling of the story only through typography. The story built up to a climax point and had a calm ending. Each page and sections were carefully thought out in terms of hierarchy and layout. Overall, it was a very satisfying project.
The Fight for Quebec!

This typographic exercise was intended to examine context and challenge our associations with established ways of visualizing content. The directive was to select written content from a well known source and visualize it in an entirely different context “breaking the seal” of what the viewer would expect to see. For this project I chose to use an article from The Beaver (now Canada’s History Magazine) on England and France’s struggle for dominance in the new world and re-imagine it as a poster series using the colourful visual language from 1980’s and 90’s wrestling icons as a jumping off point.
