CEID 390: Design for Social Change

Have you ever had an idea for making your community or organization better? In this studio/seminar course you will be challenged to use design thinking and process to consider complex social and economic problems. Through discussions, collaborations, research and prototyping of idea you will learn about design as it relates to the social, cultural, environmental and economic systems we live in. The outcome of this course will be a real project that could be presented to a potential client or community leader for implementation.

- 1 Sharpie, fine black
- 1 0.2mm pilot drawing pen
- 1 Post-It Notes, 3x3 
- 1 2B Lumocolor black marker
- 1 0.5mm mechanical pencil
- 1 Staedtler Mars plastic eraser
- 1 Coloured drawing tools (to be discussed in class)
