ie gallery hosts Amanda Arcuri for her photographic series, One Day Only.

Temporary installations are installed in the space with the intention of photographic ends. Arcuri invites you to watch her install, light, photograph then take down these installations for the duration of the exhibition and watch these materials be transformed.

Ceramics Sale | Emily Carr Library

Cups on a carrel!!

Ceramic work by current Emily Carr students and recent grads will be on display and for sale in the Emily Carr University Library, Wedneday, May 28 – Friday, May 30, 9am-5pm.

Both functional ware and sculptural work will be displayed throughout the body of the library. Participating artists will be available during the sale to discuss their work and ceramic process with visitors.

Join us for a guided tour of The Show! Tours take place hourly Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, on the following dates:

Thursdays | May 8, 15 | 3 - 6pm

Sundays | May 4, 11,18 | 1 - 4pm

Saturdays | May 10, 17 | 1-4pm

Guests can sign up for a tour by meeting in the foyer of the North Building 5 minutes prior to a tour, or reserve a spot ahead of time here.

Conversations | An Exhibition

CONVERSATIONS an exhibition in the library March 27-April 10

Conversations, an exhibition in the Emily Carr University Library, showcases student work from PHOT 207, Drawing, Writing and Photography, which considers the use of dialogue, correspondence or arguments as the basis for the development of their artworks.

Featured artists include:
Rachel Freire, Anjie Cook, Carmin Edwards, Robert Dixon, Mallory Gemmel, Lucas Gomes Balthazar, Mikaela Hurtig, Marianne Kasai Yoshiyassu, Jennifer Koester, Polina Lasenko, Julie Mills, Isobel Rae, Kristina Rensby, Meagan Stapes, Karin Vengshoel, Joese Antonio Villalon, Melissa Woodley and Tom Wu.

Iterations | Patryk Stasieczek

Throughout the duration of this exhibition, Patryk Stasieczek (2014 MAA Candidate) will generate a series of new photographic works, one per day. Starting with an original photographic gesture, a composition of photographic elements onto chromogenic paper, Stasieczek will go into the darkroom to duplicate this gesture on a daily basis. This activity of iterative production is in essence the work on display, with the unfolding sequence of photographs performing the referent.

The Feast | Pop-Up Exhibition

The Feast is a one hour collaborative pop-up exhibition from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Mitchell Press Building Gallery. Entrance is at the side door by the glass-blowing area on the third floor. Bring your feast stories!
