Quickdraw Animation Society Re-Brand
description
For this project I re-branded the Quickdraw Animation Society, the brand messaging was 'set your story in motion.' The flipping pages in the 'Q' represent traditional animation, as well as story telling. As for colors I wanted to go with a bright color pallette to appeal more to their youthful audience. Lastly, I created a letterhead, business cards, compliment cards, and an envelope acording to the brand aesthetic.

Body Talk
description
Body Talk is a collaboration grad project between myself and a fellow communication design student, Andrea Husky. Both from personal experience and from talking to our peers over the years that Vancouver has a bit of a sociability problem. Through initial secondary research our suspicions turned out to be true and we discovered that Vancouver is perceived as a cold and unfriendly city, both by locals and outsiders. This made us sad so we set out to find a way to approach this situation.

An Introduction to Core Belief Engineering
description
As my first semester's senior project, my goal was to take a complex psychotherapy treatment, Core Belief Engineering, and present it in a way that made the practice accessible to new clients and practitioners. Through illustration and information architecture, the result was a comprehensive guide introducing the reader to the field of belief change therapy.

This fall semester grad project looked at examining food culture in North America and how it affects young adults. The food industry has become a large part of modern culture, primarily concerned with profit over consumer health. Advertising plays a large role in most peoples’ relationship with food without them even realizing it and government does little to regulate the influence of the industry on consumers. It is especially important for young adults to be aware of these issues, as they are at a very important transitional stage in their life as they strike out on their own and are learning how to take care of themselves and develop eating habits that they will take with them through most of their adult lives.
Cats by T.S. Eliot
description
This project was a re-design of the popular poems from T.S. Eliot's Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats using typography to reflect the content and time in which it was written (1939) without the accompanying illustrations. The desired result was to create a children’s book for adults. Due to the challenging language of the poetry, it would be most likely that a parent would read it to their child and not vice versa. Therefore, it made sense to create a more sophisticated publication for the enjoyment of the adult reader. The focus was on using expressive typography for the titles of each poem and using photographs of feline fur as a subtle background texture to add depth as well as an air of elegance.
