Bob Prittie Library: Watercolour and Greeting Cards by Maud Sherman 1900 - 1976
Burnaby Art Gallery (BAG) Community Exhibitions Art in the Libraries presents Watercolours and Greeting Cards by Maud Sherman 1900 - 1976. Artist and book illustrator Maud Sherman was born in Mission City, BC in 1900. In 1920 she started exhibiting work with B.C. Society of Fine Arts and was an active member of the B.C. Art League.

Queen Elizabeth Mezzanine Theatre Gallery: inVisions
To envision is to picture oneself. Gathered in this exhibition are fourteen emerging artists who tackle various aspects of identity and environments.
From the corporeal to the ethereal, from self-sustained behaviors to subcultures, these artists analyze conscious and sub conscious behaviors of people within environments and landscapes.
Les Territoires: Lignes Imaginaires
Les Territoires is pleased to present Lignes imaginaires, a solo exhibition by artist Karen Zalamea (04). Lignes Imaginaires draws connections between physical gestures and mechanical modes of production. Through photographs and a video and sculpture-based installation, Zalamea shows evidence of repeated actions, revealing processes driven by both object-making and performance.
Pierre Leichner | From Transcendence to Altercendence
Pierre Leichner (07) presents From Transcendence to ‘Altercendence’ at the MediaModes conference at the New York School of Visual Arts.
Leichner will explore the biological, psychological, cultural and spiritual facets of transcendence. Especially the renewed symbiotic relationship between the sciences and the art, the convergence of digital media and the emergence of global communication networks, we are at the verge of art that will create a change, an altercendent state.
Elizabeth Zvonar | On Time + Face Up
Emily Carr University of Art + Design alumna Elizabeth Zvonar (01) exhibits at the Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG), Vancouver.
On Time includes an array of sculptures and collage that act as possible portals into implausible places. The inspiration of the exhibition stems from Zvonar's current interest in the connections between Cubism, representations of the 4th Dimension and rubber bands as metaphors for time.

Adad Hannah + Aaron Pollard Winners of Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Awards
Congratulations to Adad Hannah (98) and Aaron Pollard (93), for their recent Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton Award wins. The annual awards, worth $15,000 each, recognize outstanding mid-career artists in the seven disciplines funded by the Canada Council. Disciplines include: dance, integrated arts, media arts, music, theatre, visual arts and writing and publishing.
Alumni Films Selected for 36th Annual Northwest Film + Video Festival
Revolving Doors, directed by Kirsten Korns (09), Trolls, directed by Brianne Nord-Stewart (09), Dear John Lee, directed by Amanda Thomson (09) and Nature on Its Course, directed by Su-An Ng (09) have been officially selected to screen at 36th Annual Northwest Film + Video Festival in Portland, Oregon.
The Northwest Film + Video Festival is the most prominent forum for independent work by artists living in the Northwest.

Evergreen jazz'd is an annual fundraiser event held to raise funds for Youth Arts Education Programs at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. To celebrate its 10th year, Evergreen has expanded to include 326 guests and a colourful New Orleans twist.
